Kenji Fujita

fujita's sculptures #1 (1988)

Fujita’s sculptures are made of painted and unpainted plywood, rubber tube, sheet metal and vacuum formed plastic. He works by assembling and arranging forms such as thin walled hexagonal volumes, skeletal spheres, cut up geometric planes, and flexible tubes into structures that take on the appearance of organic wholes, while at the same time, preserving the autonomy of the parts of which they are composed.
